South Korea’s first erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment, Viagra, has received a major green light from the US Food and Drug Administration.
The erectile dysfunction drug will be available on prescription in the market in 15 countries, it said on Monday.
In June, the drug was approved for use in South Korea and the US.
In February, the FDA approved a second treatment for erectile dysfunction, the little blue pill for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, a rare heart condition that can lead to stroke.
The drug is also being developed by Pfizer and has been shown to be effective in treating impotence, which affects about 10 percent of men between 40 and 70.
The drug, which is called Sildenafil, was developed by Eli Lilly and is known as the first-ever drug to be approved for the treatment of ED.
